Combi, system and heat-only boilers
Combi boilers heat water on demand and suit most flats and small-to-medium houses with one bathroom, since there's no cylinder or tank to install. System boilers use a cylinder and suit larger households with multiple bathrooms needing simultaneous hot water. Heat-only (regular) boilers keep an existing tank-based setup, which is common in older properties or where a cylinder is already in place and working well.
Which one is right depends on your property's layout, water pressure, and how many bathrooms need hot water at once. We work this out during the survey rather than defaulting to whatever's easiest to fit.
Installation methods and standards
A proper installation includes correct flue termination positioning, condensate drainage that won't freeze in winter, a magnetic system filter to protect the new boiler from old system debris, and gas pipework checked and upgraded where needed to carry the correct volume safely. Controls are set up and commissioned to the manufacturer's instructions, not left on factory defaults.
